Large corporation needs physical laboratory for failure analysis of injection molded waterproof housing submitted to a leak test, t. It has been observed that air bubbles are coming out at some locations that coincide with a knit line, there is a theory that the knit line is actually a mico crack that allow air to come out. I'd like to perform an x-ray of the area and then perform a cross section to determine how this knit line propagates if this in fact a microcrack.
