Materials laboratory needed for ASTM Thermal Stiffness property testing as per ASTM D 1043 Stiffness Properties of Plastics as a Function of Temperature by Means of a Torsion Test of 3 rubber parts. The property measured by this test is the apparent modulus of rigidity, G, sometimes called the apparent shear modulus of elasticity. It is important to note that this property is not the same as the modulus of elasticity, E, measured in tension, flexure, or compression.
Materials laboratory needed for determination of optical transmission characteristics of red plastic lens resin used in laser receiver products. The optical transmission characteristics are important for this part so that it can filter sunlight while passing near IR laser wavelengths.
The study involves determination of the total transmissibility vs. wavelength for various red plastic lens samples. The wavelength range of interest is roughly 250-1250 nanometers (in 1 nm increments) at a minimum. A report shall be provided that includes the following at a minimum, test lab name, test date, test equipment used, test specimen condition, and graphical results of the optical transmission range, minimally including 250-1250 nm in 1 nm increments, for each sample
