Gin Juniper Compound Safety Evaludation Analysis
Project Description
FDA GMP Food Chemistry Laboratory needed to quantify the amounts of chemicals in gins made from unique junipers to determine the levels are safe for consumption. A chemical profile analysis of each of our unique junipers along with the Common Juniper. Since the common juniper is approved by the FDA for consumption, the compounds in which the REdBerry or Checkerbark Juniper have greater amounts than those found in the Common Juniper.
Objective: (1) to determine the amount of the compounds listed in table below found in (Red Berry Juniper, Checkerbark Juniper) relative to the Common Juniper. (2) to determine the amount of the compounds listed in table below found in gins relative to an approved for market gin (Junipero).
