MULTIPLE TESTS PROJECT
Materials Laboratory needed for the following tests of Polyvinyl Chloride PVC Electrical tape:
Indian Standard against testing need to be done :- IS 7809 / IEC 60454
following tests need to be done :- 1) Resistance to flame propagation (IS 7809 part2:1977 / IEC 60454-2.
2) tensile strength - IS 7809 part2 : 1977
3) adhesion to steel - IS 7809 part2 : 1977
4) adhesion to backing - IS 7809 part2 : 1977
5) dielectric strength at room temperature - IS 7809 part2 : 1977
6) dielectric strength after humid condition - IS 7809 part2 : 1977
7) electrolytic corrosion - IS 7809 part2 : 1977 and IS 8516
8) stability to accelerate ageing - IS 7809 (part3 / sec 1) : 1986
