Postmortem Blood Testing
Project Description
Clinical Laboratory needed that is capable of testing postmortem blood samples stored at a Medical Examiner.Coroner Office for the presence of Sodium 2,4 Dinitrophenolate aka Crystal DNP.
Two types of DNP are taken by bodybuilders: 1) 2,4 Dinitrophenol aka Powder DNP and 2) Sodium 2,4 Dinitrophenolate aka Crystal DNP. Metabolites for both DNP's are:
(2amino4nitrophenol/2amino4nitrophenolate and 2nitro4aminophenol/2nitro4aminophenolate)
DNP must be tested in acid conditions. Most drugs are tested for in alkaline conditions but DNP won't show up in alkaline conditions.
Sodium 2,4 Dinitrophenolate aka Crystal DNP. is the type the was taken but if able to test for both types then Ok.
