Particle Size DIstribution PSD Testing of Polyethylene PE Powder

Project Description

Contract Laboratory needed for particle size distribution PSD testing of polyethylene PE powder generated in our plant. In our Reactor loop, there is a bag filter unit which separates the PE powder from the mixer of hydrocarbon gas + PE powder before feeding the HC gas to downstream compressor for recycling back to Reactor. The size of the bag filter element is 10 micron. But we had recently observed ingress of PE powder in the dry gas seal of the compressor during annual overhauling. Hence, we intend to do PSD test for analysis of the powder generated for exact particle size generated so that we can install suitable bag filter element in the unit.
