USA Nanaotechnology Laboratory needed for nanoparticle testing. First project is for nanoparticles' surface functionalization. We need to find a solution to disperse metallic inorganic nanoparticles (chalcogenide nanoparticles: 50-180nm) in the industrial oils (synthetic and mineral) and prevent nanoparticles settling.
The other project is in the field of a petroleum engineering, particularly we are working on enhancing drilling fluid tribological properties (wear resistance and coefficient of friction). We are working on incorporating nanoparticles to drilling fluids and drilling fluid additives to increase wear resistance of the wellbore and drillstring. So far we've got very good results on a regular 4 ball tester, however we would like to run specific test (probably block on ring or pin on disk) that is used for drilling fluids in industries using typical test protocol.
Nanotechnology Advanced Materials Laboratory needed for testing small nickel foam filters of approximately 50mm in diameter. It is a 150 Pore Per Inch (PPI) Nano Needle Filter which consist large surface. The filter will probably treated with nanocatalysts antimicrobial agent. The filter will be used in our air purifier to filter and remove microorganism (bacteria, fungus) and to inactivate viruses as well. We need to perform viruses test (enveloped and non-enveloped viruses) quantitatively to determine its performance of removal upon contact with the filter media .
USA Toxicology Laboratory needed for vitro toxicity testing of 10 materials in carbon nanotubes. The assays I would be interested in would involve the use of human macrophages or possibly epithelial cells after exposure to carbon nanotubes. The assays of interest are:
1. assay of lethal toxicity utilizing MTT, LDH, or oxygen consumption assays
2. assay of oxidative stress utilizing a luminol assay
3. quantitative assay of particulate-mediated inflammatory cytokine/chemokine production by ELISA
4. fibrogenesis production via a collagen production assay
