Materials laboratory needed for flammability of industrial, coated textiles to two BS Specifications including: BS 7837:1996,Specification for flammability performance for textiles used in the construction of marquees and similar textile structures BS 5438:1989, Methods of test for flammability of textile fabrics when subjected to a small igniting flame applied to the face or bottom edge of vertically oriented specimens
Construction materials laboratory needed to conduct ASTM and AASHTO testing of asphalt binder to ASTM D2006 Method of Test for Characteristic Groups in Rubber Extender and Processing Oils by the Precipitation Method and AASHTO T 315-12, Standard Method of Test for Determining the Rheological Properties of Asphalt Binder Using a Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR)
Construction laboratory needed for ASTM testing of floor covering system using radiant heat energy source to 2 ASTM standards
ASTM E 648, Standard Test Method for Critical Radiant Flux of Floor-Covering Systems Using a Radiant Heat Energy Source
ASTM E 662, Standard Test Method for Specific Optical Density of Smoke Generated by Solid Materials
Materials laboratory needed for measuring heat insulation properties of clothing insulation to the current industry standard for hand warmers. The laboratory would need to be able to measure temperature of the hand warmers every five or ten minutes over a period of several hours. The testing environment needs to emulate natural conditions, and the temperature of the environment would need to be below freezing during testing.
Construction materials laboratory needed for physical testing of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Reinforcing Bar including 160 samples tested for durability in accordance with the following standards:
-AC320 (an acceptance criteria from ICC)
-Conditioned for 1000 and 3000 hours using ASTM D 2247
-ASTM C 581 Standard Practice for Testing Water Resistance of Coatings in 100?% Relative Humidity
Materials laboratory needed for testing waterproofing membrane for
1 - hydrostatic head resistance (an independent test) required values: 70m (231ft),
2 - wet/dry cycling (an independent test) required values: no effect @ 25 cycles at 231ft, and
3 - adhesion to concrete (an independent test)
4 - technical properties testing per ASTM standards including mass per unit area, peel adhesion to concrete, hydrostatic pressure resistance, permeability, grab tensile strength, puncture resistance, low temperature flexibility, and water vapor transmission rate.
Packaging laboratory needed for ASTM testing of packaging material for cushioning curve of packaging materials by the ASTM D-1596 test method, Dynamic Shock Cushioning Characteristics of Packaging Material. This ASTM test method uses acceleration-time data achieved from dropping a falling guided platen assembly onto a motionless sample.
