PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Studies on a New Eco-Material (hydrocarbon)
Project Description
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Contract Research Laboratory needed for studies for the development new eco-material (hydrocarbon) using a treatment with supercritical CO2. The main goal is the extraction of different organic and metalorganic substances from a complex organic matrix.
We would like to make 3-5 tests on 50 grams samples. A reference methodology is described on EPA method 3561 (Supercritical Fluid extraction of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons).
We would like to make short supercritical CO2 extractions (approx. 10 minutes) varying conditions (temperature and pressure), including the addition of a second solvent. We would need to get an isolated extracted material and the treated matrix. A secrecy agreement is needed for a full disclosure of the material characteristics and minor test conditions.
If this treatment proofs successful we would then move to next steps of material development and continue working with the laboratory up to a pilot scale
