Cigar Plume Microbiology Study Replication for Mold and Bacteria Identification
Project Description
Microbiology Laboratory needed for replication of cigar plume study for identifiable mold and bacteria.
There is a long time belief that a substance grows on well aged cigars called plume. It's a concept passed down over generations and it has been claimed to be beneficial to the cigar, even enhancing it's flavor and making it more valuable. Recently a study was performed in Australia where they lab tested several cigars with this substance on them and they were all determined to be mold or bacteria, thus debunking the plume claim. Many people disagree still because the study wasn't publicly presented, among other things. I am looking for a legitimate lab to conduct studies on cigar samples to determine what the growth on them actually is, if it's an identifiable mold or bacteria, or if it's this mythical plume somehow.
