PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Consumer Products Laboratory needed for Method Development for laundry stains/testing
3 stains X 3 reps = 9 stains + 3 stains (visual reference) = 12 stains [Test 1] 3 stains X 3 reps X 2 products = 18 stains [Test 2] 3 stains X 3 reps X 2 products = 18 stains [Test 3]
Total = 12 +18 + 18 = 48 stains
?INSTANT? Laundry Test 1: Spray Away: Evaluate instant stain removal results only (3 Reps)
1. Take spectrophotometer measurements of unstained Tshirt fabric. 2. Prep T-Shirt with 3 hand stains: Coffee, Blood, Choc Syrup and let dry 24 hours. Take photos. 3. Spot removal of stains per client instruction: saturate stain with spray and let sit 15 min. 4. Evaluate ?instant? results visually vs ref stains. 5. Allow to dry completely. 6. Evaluate using spectrophotometer.
PRETREAT?Laundry Test 2: Spray Away as Pretreatment: Evaluate results after laundering (3Reps)

1. Take spectrophotometer measurements of unstained Tshirt fabric. 2. Prep T-Shirt with 3 hand stains (3 Reps) for each of the two products: Coffee, Blood, Choc Syrup and let dry 24 hours. Take photos. 3. 0Pre-treat stains: Spray Away: Per client instruction, saturate stain with spray and let sit 15 min. 4. Wash according to ASTM D4265 standard conditions using AATCC detergent (no optical brighteners) 5. Evaluate visually and using spectrophotometer
BOOSTER Laundry Test 3: Spray Away as Laundry Booster: Evaluate results after laundering (3 Reps)
(ASTM D4265 Mod)
1. Take spectrophotometer measurements of unstained Tshirt fabric. 2. Prep T-Shirt with 3 hand stains (3 Reps) for each of the two products: Coffee, Blood, Choc Syrup and let dry 24 hours. Take photos. 3. Wash according to the following and ASTM D4265 standard conditions using AATCC detergent (no optical brighteners). 4. Start Washer fill and add AATCC std detergent. 5. Add Booster: Spray Away Loads: Per client instruction, add 2 ounces Spray Away to large load 6. Add stains and ballast and wash/dry. 7. Evaluate results of Detergent+Spray Away and Detergent+Oxiclean using spectrophotometer
1. Three Stains (3 Reps each): Meat-based pasta sauce, red wine, cat urine on off white carpet. 2. Take spectrophotometer measurements of unstained carpet. 3. Apply stains in manner similar to CRI Test Method 101 and let dry one hour. 4. Test according to client instructions: a. Remove excess/loose stain material. b. Saturate stain c. Let dry completely. 5. Evaluate using spectrophotometer.
Dining Room UPHOLSTERY TEST Upholstery Fabric
1. Three Stains (3 Reps each): Coffee, Blood, Choc Syrup 2. Take spectrophotometer measurements of unstained dining room fabric. 3. Apply stains in manner similar to CRI Test Method 101 and let dry one hour. 4. Test according to client instructions: a. Remove excess/loose stain material. b. Saturate stain c. Let dry completely. 5. Evaluate using spectrophotometer.
?COUNTERTOP? TEST: (Marble & Formica)
1. Two Substrates: Marble, Formica 2. Obtain Baseline Readings (gloss or spectrophotometer) of substrate. 3. Three stains (3 Reps each): Grease spatter, meat based pasta sauce and coffee. 4. Apply stains (undiluted). Dry overnight. Take photos. 5. Spray on product to saturate stains, let sit for 30 seconds, wipe off with clean, damp sponge or cloth. 6. Dry with clean dry cloth to polish. 7. Obtain Baseline Readings. Take photos
?FLOORING? TEST: Floor Tile/Hard Wood (based on CSPA DCC-16 and/or DCC-17)
1. Two Substrates: Ceramic Tile, Hard wood flooring 2. Obtain Baseline (clean) readings (gloss or spectrophotometer) for each substrate. 3. Three stains (3 Reps each):
