Project Description
Mechanical Laboratory needed for mechanical testing, comparison studies of our new product compared to an existing product one of our competitors has had in the market for a number of years. The goal of the testing is to determine the holding torque of a timing pulley to a shaft with both devices, and also to find at which torque level both devices would strip their holding screws at if their installation screws were overtorqued during installation. We would like you to duplicate this testing with three goals in mind: 1. Does your data correlate with the results we obtained? (We realize specific resulting data points will probably differ since we did not have torque tools traceable to NIST) 2. Does your data and analysis bring you to any different conclusions regarding the two products than what our testing led us to? 3. Would it be acceptable for us to give out copies of your test results to people who asked for a comparison between the two products? The testing is done at ambient conditions using essentially just a holding fixture/vise, and torque tools.
