Metallurgical Laboratory needed for galvanized pipe couplings failure testing. We have 6" diameter couplings whose threads have failed after 6 months of service. The couplings were connected to stainless steel pipe in a groundwater well and the raw water has total dissolved solids concentration of over 1100 mg/l. I'd like an analysis to determine for the failure was from electrolysis/galvanic corrosion, wear or some other kind of corrosion. Raw water also has iron reducing bacteria.
