Breathable Air Pressure Sensor Contamination Compliance Testing
Project Description
Contract Laboratory needed for breathable air pressure sensors contamination testing after assembly. The test equipment contains glycol (an alcohol) mixed with DI water as part of the final hydraulic test. In discussion with the customer, they requested that we comply with the following:-
Surfaces of components which get into contact with breathing air or breathing gas mixtures during the intended use or in case of an initial error must not show contamination with hydrocarbons that exceeds a level of 550 mg/m².
We therefore, want to arrange a type test to prove we are compliant with this requirement.
Glycol is not a hydrocarbon, nor are any of the items listed below likely to be used. However, machining oil will have been used in the fabrication of the metal parts.
