Clinical Study Pathogen Positive Stool Samples (200 Samples)

Project Description

Pharmaceutical Company needs leftover stool samples that are known to be positive for various pathogens for use in an upcoming clinical study.

The requirements for the samples we are seeking would be as follows:

? Remnant stool samples collected via SOC from patients presenting with symptoms of gastroenteritis, enteritis and/or infectious colitis.
? Stored in Cary-Blair preservative
? Bristol stool scale of 6-7 (soft or diarrheal consistency)
? Frozen within 48 hours (bacterial) or 72 hours (V/P) of collection at -20C or below
? 2 mL or greater sample volume (4 x 500uL aliquots)

We are looking to purchase up to 100 known negative samples and 100 known positive samples from each category (full list below) within the next 6 months. Please let me know if your facility has these samples or if you anticipate having them in the near future. Please also pass this request along if you have any colleagues who may be interested.

o Plesiomonas shigelloides

Parasites, Up to 100 per target
o Giardia lamblia
o Cryptosporidium spp.
o Entamoeba histolytica
o Cyclospora cayetanensis

Viral, Up to 50 per target
