Soil Bioremediation Study Using Mushrooms
Project Description
USA LABORATORY (California Lab Preferred)
Students need USA Environmental Laboratory for bioremediation solution using mushrooms for breaking down petroleum hydrocarbons. The goal is to have the mushrooms safe enough to eat or leave in the ground once planted. We are particularly interested in assessing mushrooms' capabilities, their safety for the environment after breaking down the hydrocarbons, and any cell structure, viability, and growth changes that happen to them after breaking down the hydrocarbons. I was wondering if you could do Tph or TRPH testing in soil (that's quantitative) like EPA Method 4030, 8051b, or any other methods you think would be better suited. For the mushrooms themselves, Anyway, you can suggest testing the amount of TPH in mushroom weather its gas chromatography or HPLC that you can do with the tests your willing to preform. Considering our status as a student research project and our budget constraints,
