Project Description
MULTIPLE TESTING
Biotechnology Laboratory needed for culture of THP-1 Human Macrophages testing to Treat THP-1 human macrophages with 3 plant extracts at 2 concentrations, then treat with LPS and measure the following cytokine secretion: IL-6, TNF-alpha, PGE2, and Nitric Oxide. Include positive and negative controls at one concentration.
As a separate project dependent on the experiment above, treat THP-1 human macrophages with the same 3 plant extracts at 2 concentrations, and measure LPS-induced ROS (Reactive oxygen species) formation using DCFH-DA. Include positive and negative controls at one concentration.
