Laboratory Test Request

Resin Material Identification Testing

Project Description

USA LABORATORY (Illinois preferred)
MULTIPLE PRODUCTS
MULTIPLE TESTING
USA Contract Laboratory needed for testing and characterization of resin materials, and compare the old and new samples using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) analysis.

Ten (10) samples of old and new Ni-Cu and Al Tabs will be submitted for testing.

- Eight (8) of those samples will be submitted for FTIR analysis. Samples are as follows:
Two (2) samples of Al Tab (old resin)
Two (2) samples of Al Tab (new resin)
Two (2) samples of Ni-Cu Tab (old resin)
Two (2) samples of Ni-Cu Tab (new resin)
Samples will undergo FTIR analysis targeted at the resin (polymer sealing layer) for attempted identification of the peaks and comparative analysis between old/new samples.

- Two (2) of the remaining samples of Al Tab (new and old) will undergo ICP-OES to identify the alloy
