South-Eastern USA Rheology Laboratory required for Viscosity(cone and plate)rheological testing. Currently we use a HAAKE VT550 and PK100d cone and plate system. The gap is set using a light that turns off when the circuit is broken (minimal distance for the gap. The sample is a pellet, melted on the plate at 130C after the gap is set. The spindle is a pk-2, 0.5 from HAAKE. The program is from 1 to 150 shear rate over 3 minutes. The viscosity numbers are taken at a shear rate of 100 and reported as PA.S.
