MULTIPLE TESTS
Toxicology Laboratory needed for Ecotoxicology studies for OSPAR Harmonized Offshore Chemical Notifications to obtain access to offshore markets for our maintenance and cleaning chemicals/products,According to OSPAR Guidelines for Completing the Harmonized Offshore Chemical Notification Format (HOCNF; see https://www.ospar.org/documents?v=33043) the following full toxicity set comprises: a) Algae: Skeletonema costatum or Phaeodactylum tricornutum (in accordance to ISO/DIS protocol 10253); b) Crustacea: Acartia tonsa or Tisbe battaglia (in accordance to ISO protocol TC 147/SC5/WG2); c) Fish: Scophthalmus maximus (juveniles) or Cyprinodon variegatus (juveniles) (in accordance to Part B of the OSPAR Protocols on Methods for the Testing of Chemicals Used in the Offshore Industry;(published by OSPAR in 1995, available from the OSPAR web site at www.ospar.org) Could you please provide me with the following details? 1) Have you conducted these kind of tests as required by OSPAR HOCNF regulations? 2) What kind of testing capacity would you have, i.e., how many test substances could you test in parallel? 3) Is your laboratory OECD GLP certified ? 4) Did your laboratory (and/or partner/sister laboratories) participate in the 1991-1993 Paris Commission Ring Test: Testing of Offshore Chemicals and Drilling Mud on Selected Marine Organisms (the ring test included 30 laboratories) 5) Could you provide an initial cost estimate/quotation for the above listed tests for one of each listed species of algae, crustacea and fish?
