Ford Sensor Testing
Project Description
MULTIPLE TESTING
Environmental Simulation Laboratory for the following Ford Sensors Testing:
2 test required:
1. Salt spray, FORD CETP 00.00-L-467 --- 20pzs
2. Pressure, Temperature and vibration cycling ---- 20pzs
*****Salt spray test******
1. Measure the impedance of each of the sensors according to the settings in the table below.
2. Connect harnesses, tubing and caps and place sensors vertically inside the Spray Chamber.
3. Test for 12 weeks, according to standard CETP 00.00-L-467.
4. At the end of the test, open the chamber and let it rest at room temperature for 48 hours.
5. Visually confirm that there is no intrusion of liquid and salts inside the connector and harnesses.
6. Take a photograph of the before (chamber-mounted sensors) and after each of the sensors.
7. Carry out the Impedance measurement again once the Salt spray test is finished, according to the table below. (There should be no impedance changes greater than 10% vs. initial condition)
******Pressure, Temperature and vibration cycling******
1. Connect DUTs to manifolds and harnesses as shown in the image below. Take t photos of the equipment used and set up. Use a thermocouple to monitor the chamber temperature.
2. Use the test profile shown in the table below. Repeat 14 times.
3. Use Mobil Gargoyle Artic Oil 155 (part number 9985257) and mix with 1% fluorescent liquid.
4. Monitor for liquid leaks under UV light.
