Contract Laboratory needed for performance testing of different blends of granular, salt-based ice melters at specific temperatures, over a specific time period.I've done a lot of this in-house: Small petri dishes with ice, apply 5 g if ice melter, back in the freezer for 30 mins, remove sample from freezer, pour off water generated from ice melters, weigh water to compare performance.
For you, I was thinking slightly larger samples (larger dish, deeper ice, more ice melter), a good freezer with temperature control, and a repeatable water pour-off technique. I need baseline data derived from repeated trials of our branded products, then average the results. Once the technique is refined, I could send over other competitive products for testing
