Purified Graphite SDS Evaluation Testing and Preparation
Project Description
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Company scaling up a novel industrial process that produces, a novel graphite with a mixture of morphologies needs Contract Laboratory to perform testing to prepare it's SDS for the purified graphite. In its pure form, it is simply a mixture of graphite morphologies. It typically contains carbon nanotubes, carbon nano-onions and carbon micro-shells. In order to comply with regulations, we will require an SDS for the purified graphite.I am hoping you can inform us as to what Hazer needs to do to fulfil our duty of providing an accurate SDS for this material. To this end, do you know if we can treat our material as standard graphite, or must it be treated as carbon nanotubes (which are understood to be mutagenic, unlike regular graphite)? As we have a mixture of - presumably - non-interacting substances, do we simply require one SDS for the graphite portion and another for the CNT portion? Any advice or guidance you can provide on the issue would be greatly appreciated.
