Tile PEI Breaking Strength Testing
Project Description
Physical Laboratory needed for PEI breaking strength testing of tile used on a project. We sold tile for a salon that does hot stone massage. The manufacture indicated a PEI 4.
Customer indicated that tile easily chip when the stone is dropped compared to other salon locations with PEI 4 tile installed.
When massage stone was dropped 12" high this tile chips.
When tested with other product with same rating no damage.
Customer believe that the quality of tile does not match to the rating specified from manufacture. We need to test for breaking strength to ensure that the tile meets PEI 4.
