The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute, AHRI, has set standards for heaters that are marketed today.  The American National Standards Institute has accepted these standards.  AHRI?s rating standards provide a method to test and rate heating, ventilation, water heating, boiler and radiant panel equipment.
