Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Paper Chromatography
Used mainly for qualitative purposes, almost any mixture can be at least partially resolved by one of these techniques. It is ideally suited to quality control, purity checks, clinical diagnosis and forensic tests.
Column Chromatography
Less commonly used than the other techniques as a stand-alone technique.

General & Wet Chemistry
When macro analysis (the determination of quantities of 0.1g or more) is being undertaken, these classical analytical chemistry techniques can often provide much better relative precisions than the more modern instrumental techniques.Instrumental techniques available include:
- Range of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 figure balances
- Range of incubators, ovens & furnaces

- Specific gravity or Density of liquids and solids
- Particle size distribution (by sieve technique)

Spectroscopy - Atomic & Molecular

Elemental Microanalysis
