Overview

MB Research Laboratories, a GLP contract research laboratory, has been conducting acute, subchronic and chronic toxicology studies since 1972, with expertise in many areas of in vivo and in vitro safety evaluations.   In addition to in vivo assays, MB has extensive experiences in alternative assays such as CAMVA, BCOP, MatTekT EpiDerm and EpiOcular and the Local Lymph Node Assays (LLNA).  Our studies are in full compliance with OECD, FDA, and EPA.


Standards & Methodologies

Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) MB Research has a fully staffed Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), established in 1979, to ensure strict compliance with GLP regulations of the EPA, FDA and OECD.  The QAU performs critical phase inspections for each GLP study conducted at MB, audits all raw data and reports, and regularly inspects laboratory support operations and records.  Archives are maintained for long-term storage of all documentation required by GLP regulations.  A long history of successful regulatory facility inspections and audits by both FDA and EPA attest to MB's commitment to data integrity and compliance with all applicable Good Laboratory Practices regulations.



Qualifications, Certifications, Accreditations & Licenses

  MB has been accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care, International (AAALAC) since 1975 and has been praised for its clear and definite commitment to quality animal care and alternatives programs.  MB Research is licensed by the USDA and meets the standards set forth in the Animal Welfare Act regulations.  MB has an active and effective Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), which supervises all animal use in the laboratory.  MB is licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Health in compliance with each agency's regulations for the use of controlled substances.
