""My company has been invited for a turnkey contract, this contract is to provide 'fit for purposes' analytical equipment fora new laboratory.
The implementation of the contract, therefore, has to be carried out in two phases i.e. 1 and 2 referred to as 'Mandatory' and 'Optional'. this major project laboratory is required to be equipped first with fit for purpose analytical equipment. This part of contract requirements would require not only to supply, install, commission but also would include onsite equipment maintenance, spares and onsite training to Company appointed personnel for a period of 3 years. Each of the equipment is expected to be delivered with a fully valid equipment supplier warranty for the first calendar year (extended for additional two years). Also the onsite training and maintenance (including spares) are to be provided for this additional period of 2 years. The onsite maintenance and training visits are to be made twice a year on specified dates at about six monthly intervals by qualified personnel acceptable to the Company's Contract Holder.
Further, the Mandatory equipments are the ones that shall be required expressly and in full working order under the 'turnkey' portion of the contract. This will ensure that the new laboratory will be ready 'for fit for purpose' analytical equipment support as the major new steam plant comes on stream in beginning of 2011.
