Canada Clinical Laboratory needed for Urine and Blood Toxicology Testing for Impaired Driving Sanctions
Project Description
CANADA LABORATORY (Alberta Preferred)
LONG-TERM TESTING
MULTIPLE TESTING
Canada Clinical Laboratory needed for Urine and blood toxicology analysis related to drug impaired driving provincial sanctions in Alberta.
Testing results need to indicate what drugs are detected in urine, or for blood what drugs and in what quantities.
Drugs are further classified into seven drug categories, information will be provided upon request.
Laboratory services used by law enforcement must be provided by reputable laboratories with a capacity to consistently produce highly accurate and reliable results.
The laboratory must be able to provide toxicology for full spectrum drug and alcohol analysis on urine and blood samples within 7 calendar days of receipt of the exhibit. ( shipping distance for the urine/blood and border delays are a significant factor in creating delays)
Laboratory services that have met the CAN-P-1578 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements satisfy the minimum quality standards demanded for non-criminal Provincial sanction charges. (The CAN-P-1578 standard was changed in 2017 to the Standards Counsel of Canada (Requirement and Guidance for the Accreditation for Forensic Testing Laboratories)
