Down Sleeping Bag British Standards Testing
Project Description
MULTIPLE TESTING
Contract Laboratory needed for British Standards Testing of new down sleeping bag being launched to the Uk market. We now require the sleeping bag based on its materials, fill, ergonomics to be tested and rated in order to meet BS standards and for insurance purposes and health safety .
The British standard we are working to is known as
BS EN ISO 23537-1:2016+A1:2018
Some provision won't apply as some only apply where regards to extreme cold expedition conditions (-40 etc)
We are wanting our sleeping bag tested for both comfort levels and extreme levels
Upper limit - the highest temperature the average male can expect to have a comfortable night's sleep at without too much sweating.
Comfort - the temperature at which the average adult woman can expect to have a comfortable sleep.
Lower limit - the temperature at which the average adult male can expect to have a good night's sleep in a curled position.
Extreme - the lowest temperature at which the average adult woman can survive. This rating comes with caution and additional consideration should be given if you plan to sleep in temperatures this low.
