The IPT, Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (Institute of Technological Research), creates and applies technological solutions for sectors of the economy, governments, and society to overcome challenges.

Linked to the Government of the State of São Paulo, it has contributed to national development since 1899.

With cutting-edge laboratory infrastructure and highly skilled multidisciplinary teams, it operates in four main areas: research, development & innovation; technological services; metrological services; and technology education. It conducts tests, analyses, calibrations, and certifications; monitoring, inspection, and consulting to solve problems; and develops products and processes.

Modern and interdisciplinary, it has open innovation and technological acceleration programs catering to startups and large corporations, supporting their businesses by mapping funding lines and connecting their challenges with ICTs and universities.
