Testing Blood Samples of Rare Disease Patients
Project Description
MULTIPLE TESTING
MULTIPLE SAMPLES
LONG-TERM POTENTIAL
BUDGET APPROVED ($10,000-$25,000)
Clinical research laboratory needed for testing blood samples to measure autophagy in rare disease (HSPB8 myopathy) cases reliably.
Essentially, it is a two-stage process
- A blood draw and a series of spins.
Once optimized, the time from start to finish would be around 2.5-3h (including 1 h incubation and 30 min spin (refer to the publication for details).
- Western Blot
We would cover all the costs associated with the protocol optimization, reagents, labor, shipping.
We are hoping this is going to be a routine, regular test for the patient, and a long-term collaboration.
Is this something you would consider? Would you be willing to have a conversation about how we can help HSPB8 Myopathy patients please?
If not, can you direct us to another provider?
We have been trying unsuccessfully for months.
