This research will evaluates the potential endocrine disruptor activity of substances by measuring whether and to what extent a substance induces cell proliferation via estrogen receptor (ER), androgen receptor (AR) (PR) dependent pathways. This research is aimed at screening of test samples to quantify functional activities, either agonist or antagonist, that they may exert against the human androgen receptor and estrogen (ER?) estrogen (ER?).

The lubricants consist of various blends of esters, glycols, fatty acids, hydrocarbon (diesel) and emulsifiers. The purpose is to determine which lubricant performs the best at reducing the coefficient of friction between metal to metal and metal to formation and the optimal concentrations of each. At the same time, and perhaps more importantly, I would like to evaluate what kind of contaminants and at what concentrations cause "greasing" effects. I would also like to look at miscibility or emulsion of the lubricant in a brine solution and the role this plays on lubricity. Lastly, how do the lubricants hold up when examining formation damage/permeability reduction and to what extent this damage is increased when lubricants eventually grease out.
